1. Zero Customer Accounts & No Personal Data Collection
Dhoondo is designed from the ground up to protect consumer privacy. Unlike typical web portals, Dhoondo does not require customers to create accounts, provide names, enter phone numbers, sign in via social logins, or store passwords. You can browse, discover, and find products in nearby offline shops completely anonymously.
2. Strict 15 KM Location Data Usage
When you grant location permission or manually select a city, your approximate GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) are used strictly to calculate mathematical distance (under the 15-kilometer radius limit) between your current vantage point and registered physical storefronts.
We do not track, log, or sell your movement history. Location data is processed ephemerally in your browser session to query inventory within 15 km and is never linked to your personal identity.
3. Direct Shop Communication
When initiating a phone call or WhatsApp inquiry with a verified store owner from a product or store profile, your interaction occurs directly over your device’s native dialer or messaging service. Dhoondo does not intercept, record, or store your private conversations with shopkeepers.
4. Local Browser Storage
To ensure a seamless user experience, Dhoondo may save your selected discovery city in your device’s local web storage (`localStorage`) so you do not need to re-select your preferred area on every page refresh. You can reset or clear this stored preference at any time from the Settings screen.
5. Analytics & Diagnostics
We may record aggregated, non-identifiable system events (such as whether a search query returned results or a category was clicked) solely to improve the catalog indexing speed and maintain platform uptime. No personal identifiable information (PII) is ever attached to these metrics.
